It drives me nuts! I *KNOW* I'm not an uptight bitch. But I don't think it's too much to ask that people respect that others exist around them (ie. stop clomping around all hours waking me up on week nights I have to work.)

I would complain about the couch if they leave it there. Leaving stuff in the walkways is a violation of the lease.

I just looked over the lease for that! If they do, I'm totally complaining (even if I *do* complain a lot). The dude upstairs leaving a small step stool is one thing (plus that's not in my way)-- a couch that fits 3-4 people? That's a whole other ballpark. It's gross, and it makes the complex look trashy & cheap. Which isn't good when they're still trying to rent out apartments.

There's nothing snobby about expecting other people to behave with a basic minimum standard of decency.
