tl;dr Summer Edition!
Ah, nothing like completely revamping this thing to make me think I'm going to use it more~
So when was the last time I made an entry relevant to my life? Finding the cat? Well there's only one interesting college thing that happens after that and I'll make a separate entry for that, as I don't want it posted publicly.
So, after looking since March for a job this summer I still ended up with none, I guess that makes room for more fun things to do but not much money to spend. ^^;
I hung around with Courntie and Amanda every week in June. Saw Star Trek and Up (both were great). We never did go see Wolverine. (oops) There was at least one mall trip in there. Then there was AnimeNEXT in NJ from the 12th to the 14th. It was alright for me. Better than Icon earlier in the year. I mostly enjoyed shopping. I did like Jeopardy game, because I knew all the answers (at least for the first round) and knowing gratuitous amounts of random geeky facts makes me happy. The dating game somewhat amused me for how campy the Tieria and Simon cosplayers hosting it were. I don't think I'm going to bother with the Masquerade or Cosplay Chess next year. For what it is the Masquerade isn't worth the wait, especially since so many other things I wanted to go to were going on at that time. Cosplay Chess sounded awesome in theory but was boring in practice. Especially since the con didn't follow it own rules for selecting the chess pieces! It was supposed to be one character per series! And I just skipped out of the dance/rave/whatev afterwards and it seems that was probably not a bad thing. No Greg Ayres makes me sad. :(
ANYWAY, some time after that I went to the beach with Jocey, her boyfriend and Courtnie. Ms. Ferriera came right before we left. Soon after I got together with Jason and Elizabeth from collegeland. After having my parents drive me out to the Deer Park outlets we immediately drove back to go to the Smithaven Mall. Yeah. XD; I ate at Olive Garden for the first time ever (It wasn't that good), lounged on the furniture at Marshall's and went to Play 'n Trade. After thatwe had no idea what to and ended up sitting in Elizabeth's car for like an hour asking other people. We then went back to my house and played Mario Party 2. The computer beat us all. It was embarrassing.
Oh, and Jason laughed at all my animu crap and discovered a Jewish cookbook that I guess we were delirious enough to find incredibly funny.
A few days later was Devin's birthday/graduation party. Was fun except for the cheese and water gun fights that were even too immature for me. ^^;
Over the next few weeks I attempted to go to the zoo with Courtnie, her mother and her brother but it down poured while we where there. The 4th of July passed and it wasn't particularly fun thanks to lots of kiddies in the pool. I actually liked the bossy little girl who I gave a ride around the pool for like an hour though. Even if she did dig her elbows into my back to make me go faster. Courtnie and I walked to the library just to have a excuse to go outside. Both of us ended up taking out a ton of stuff, including of all things Barbie Magic Hair Styler. Unfortunately it didn't work. The we went back to her house and had a sleepover with Jocey. Also forgot to mention the two times I went to the park. Once with Jocey and Courtnie and once with Courntie and her sister. The latter including some very messy calzone eating and me thinking every woman who walked into the park was my neighbor.
Last week I went to the beach on Wednesday with Courtnie and Amanda. Which was much more fun than I thought it would be. (I don't usually enjoy the beach that much, especially swimming there) The after effects weren't to nice though, I had really bad sunburn on my back, the back of my knees and my face. The next day was Kailyn's surprise really late birthday party. It was nice seeing so many people I haven't seen in like a year again. And I just realized I forgot to explain one of the parts to the gift I made. It's kind of hard to tell what it is because of the colors I used but the keychain is a ladybug. XD; I was going to make a butterfly but I didn't have enough rainbow string left. ^^;
Saturday I went to see Harry Potter 6 with a bunch of people. I enjoyed it a lot more than the other movies, but I wish they had taken out some of the stuff with Lavender and put in the Gaunts/the battle at Hogwarts/one of Snapes DADA classes. The ending wasn't too good either, which is funny because that's the most exciting part of the book. Afterward we went to Port Jeff and discussed Harry Potter, in the process spoiling the entire 7th book for someone.
Later today I'm going to the city to see...whatever of interest is on TKTS. I'm hoping I can sneek a trip to Kinokuniya in there too, because it has been too long since I was last there.
Hopefully in the near future I will be going back to the city to see Avenue Q (for a third time! It is that good.), going to Jones Beach and swimming in my aunt's pool without tons of kids on top of me.
