[This post started as an audio post. Nick was silent for most of it and it ended with a curse in a language no one here probably understood.

A few hours later, he decided to try again. This time in text.]

Bryn, may I speak to you?

[Probably being the key word.

Anna had arrived only yesterday and had immediately destroyed most of her room in a panic. Once she had determined that she wasn't in the Facility (or at least, could be reasonably convinced - you could never be certain), she had shakingly taken the record into her hands, thumbed through it and figured out how it worked.

And she had read the note at the beginning, and refused to believe it.

And now, the voice messages and texts coming through are less alarming and she's able to peruse with less panic than she'd had initially.

One stops her in her tracks and causes her breath to tremble, her hands to shake. He spoke it, when all of these others spoke only English. After some fumbling, she responds to it, in the language from her world.]

...Hello?

[Nick didn't respond. Not at first. Because he knows that voice and he doesn't want to answer it. But it is rude to leave her hanging like this. So after ten minutes, he finally replies.]

Hello.

[She hadn't thought he was going to respond, and she had just started to close the book when she heard the reply.]

You understand me.

[Bryn would rather ignore Nick altogether. Their last encounter was upsetting, to say the least.

A few replies come to mind immediately.

"I can't think of what you could possibly want to talk to me about."

"Looking for someone to lie to you again?"

"No."

It's petty and Bryn can't bring herself to ignore him outright. It's ingrained in her to respond.]

Why? What do you want?

I want...

[The words trail off. He's not sure how he wants to word this. Finally, he starts writing again.]

I am sorry.

[There's no response for a while...]

Sorry for?

[Sorry Nick, you'll have to be a little more specific.]

[This isn't easy for him either. It's been awhile since he had friends. Are they friends?]

For those things I said. I was panicked and scared.

[He knows it's not an excuse. But he hopes it explains his actions at least a little.]
