i'm on my...let me see...5th anita blake book. i'm not really sure how i feel about it either, but they're quick enough reads to where i don't think about it that much.
Did you go to Anita Blake because you needed something to fill your Twilight void? (Like me...)
OK, I found a series while I was waiting for Breaking Dawn and I LOVE IT. Much better than Blake.
It's the "Sookie Stackhouse" series. The first book is Dead Until Dark and they are by Charlaine Harris. 8 books so far with more on the way. They are sssoo great. Centered around vamps with a few other supernatural issues thrown in. But the great part is that they take place in Louisiana. And Sookie is MUCH more likable than Anita and Harris is a better writer than Hamilton. You must check them out!
i wasn't really trying to fill my vampire void...but after reading the Twilight series, it seemed everyone wanted to throw vampire books at me.
i know about the stackhouse series because that's the one that HBO is making a tv show out of. it actually premiers tonight, TruBlood. the previews look horrible though, and i read an article and it said fans of the books probably won't like the small screen version. i wouldn't mind checking out the books though, so i'll have to look into that.
