[The video post clicks on and Fakir is there wielding not a sword but...a blue struggle bat. And he seems mildly embarrassed to be using such a ridiculous weapon.

There are numerous crates around him. It seems he's taken to taking on odd jobs in this happy little town.

He readies his "weapon". Then he takes a deep breath and....swingsSeveral of ( Read more... )

Arland strolls over into the back alley courtyard and leans against the wall...presumably Namine is not far off, perhaps getting them more ice cream. But he watches the knight go to down on the boxes and then finally chuckles, a slow clap.

"Well I guess that makes a good warm up, if you're planning on facing motionless squarish objects in the ring."

[Fakir turns at the voice, and pockets his munny before heading over to meet Arland.]

I'm just doing this so I'll have money for later. Then maybe I can do something about that sword...

[He looks rather determined though, regarding Struggle.]

I could take on anyone they put up against me! It doesn't look too difficult.

I haven't seen a real swordsmith in this town, but maybe-

He shrugs, a little amused at all the odd jobbing that been happening around town. People are out and about for this event, at least, wary but not cowering in their rooms. Namine's made the place nice.

Tch! Nah, you're out of practice. Bet you'd be out first round.

[He looks annoyed at his sparring skills being doubted.]

That's not true! I wouldn't just pass the first round - I'd win the entire tournament!

[Originally he hadn't planned on entering. It would involve him letting his guard down and not paying attention to whether any mirrors were sneaking around or not. However, it had gotten to be the fourth day of the event, and while Fakir was still wary...it wasn't going to kill him to compete either. Namine really had made the place nice, for everyone.]
