This summer has held so many new beginnings, yet so many things undone; so many words spoken, yet so many emotions untold. It's been a summer of oppurtunity, but a summer of holding on. summer is truly the time for youth. we leave behind the responsibilities brought on by the other 8 months of the year and are free to spend our free minutes, however precious few or plentiful they are, lazing about without a care in the world with or without the people we once left behind to deal with these new responsibilities. when summer is no longer a release from the (i won't say monotonous, for my life is never monotonous) onslaught of responsibility brought upon by the rest of the year, we shall know that we are truly adults. none of us are grown up, some are just more attached to their fleeting youth than others, grasping to it out of fear of their unknown future, out of love for simpler times, or just out of spite of people who are progressing to understanding life more quickly than themselves ( ... )
