well i say to try to explain what your culture means to you and why you are into it. yea it is hard to do just cause they will never know unless they experiance first hand, but you can give them a general idea. we are all growing into who we are, and parents never knew of this culture really until recently. so just live every day by day. just keep relaxed and "just breathe"

thanks scott...you're pretty great. i just talked to my dad and told him that i knew he prolly thought that my piercings were ugly...but i think they're beautiful and they're an expression of me..and that the pain is sort of spiritual to me. he tried to understand and i think he does a little more.
it's a constant struggle to live day by day..and that's what i try to do. sometimes i need to be reminded to "just breathe".
