...I just watched "Donnie Darko," and I can't help but get the feeling that I missed something. It was good, and I liked it quite a bit, but...is it one of those movies one has to watch more than once to fully appreciate

yeah...they cut out too much in the first movie...the director's cut is more clear...but the donnie darko website clears it up a bit...if you can get the damn thing to work of course heh...the story goes deeper into quantum physics than the first movie provides in screenplay and dialogue

Well, I did watch the director's cut...damn, I can't imagine what they left out the first time if this one made more sense than the first version. I'll probably watch it again before I have to give it back.

yeah. it takes you a couple times to fully understand the movie. but it's totally worth watching again. and again. and again.

besides jake gyllenhaal is way too cute to not watch over and over. haha

Yeah, Jake Gyllenhaal is a pretty good reason to watch it several times. Maggie, too, for that matter... :)
