Anyone else have this problem? Get up even for a few minutes and find your pet firmly enconsed in your chair?  Well I have finally solved that problem and it works like a charm.

Haha! Great thinking!!! I don't have that problem since I gave the cat the good chair (all together now: SUCKER!) but I do have a different problem. If I move from one room to another, the cat follows me. I love it that she's such a sociable girl, but sometimes it makes me feel bad that she follows me to one room and then I leave and she follows me to another room and I leave . . . and so forth. Housework makes me feel guilty! My kitty is a tabby like yours but with yellow eyes. I think I'm totally besotted with tabbies, now. She's my second tabby and both have been ridiculously smart, curious, lovable cats (but not lap cats).

I love tabbies, this is my first one. She's not a lap cat but she does like to stay close. Or worse yet, walk all over me whilst kneading.

I still use the old water bottle trick, but your way seems less messy. :) Got a trick for kids, too?

Sorry, no experience in that department. Probably just as well, it's scary what I might come up with :p
