Just got home from seeing Eragon with Monk, Jaun, Jaun's 'rents and his aunty who are in town. We got there a little too late considering we got stuck in the front row. PLUS they must have just jumped up the matinee prices cause the tickets were $5.75!!! They've been $5 for a couple years up from $4... thieving bastards ( Read more... )

Meh. I was one of the minority that read the book and wasn't impressed. The kid has potential but isn't worth all the hype. I might catch Eragon in the dollar theaters or rent it someday.

So I finally feel like I can comment on this post now that I've finished the book. Granted it only took me a couple days once I got around to it, but I was rushed by my little brother who wanted to read it as well.

But I'm curious, when did it say that Murtagh is Eragon's brother? I mean that's a huge detail that I must have missed reading through the book *headdesk*. If you remember where it is, I'd love to go back and re-read that part.

Anyways, I'm shocked at how different the movie and the book are. I mean the plot itself seemed different. In any case, I'm sure we'll talk more about this another time.
