I'm intrigued already! I really enjoy mafia alternate universes in this fandom (mostly just because I love the Italy brothers so much)! I'm also glad to see a female Vatican OC! (The Vatican has always been a girl in my mind.)
Ahh, thank you! *hugs* I tried my best to make the beginning interesting. :'D Yeah, even though Himaruya was going to make the Vatican an elderly man [but scraped the idea], I can't seem to see the Vatican as a male either! I wonder why that is. xD
I think it's because the Vatican is so tiny (land wise) and stays out of all the fighting. In my head canon the Vatican as a nation-tan wasn't born until it officialy became it's own country between the World Wars, so she's still really really young for a nation. (...so basicly the exact opposite of what Himaruya was thinking ^_^; )
Yeah, I thought of the Vatican the same until I decided to look into the full history. And then I figure the Vatican could be older because of the Papal States that came before it. The Papal States(752-1870) were ruled by the Pope, just like Vatican City is today. They were just another large historical state of Italy. Whole reason why the Papal States vanished and become Vatican City was because well...pretty much this happened: Papal States wants to expend -> Italy's not happy -> Italy invades & makes them sign a treaty -> the large territory that was once the Catholic Church, now a tiny slab of land within Rome that we know of as Vatican City. Lol. I dunno, but that's my headcanon. I support your's as well though. xD
Well, all I can really say is that I absolutely adore your character descriptions, and while reading the first part (the prologue type thing) You def made Grampa Rome sound EPIC. And reading the character's interractions with eachother is very smooth, and doesn't seem like you milked any of their personalities either, which is something I've noticed all too often in fanfics. Like for example how people just make Lovi a complete pompous tsundere ASSHOLE who just feeds off making people feel bad. Also I just want to draw some Vianca now, but you need to give me a ref of some kind~

Nnnghh, thanks for pointing out Rome's name actually. Mathias IS Denmark's name in the fic. I guess I just wasn't paying attention when I was typing. ^^;; Stupid typos. Ugh. I'll just use the name of the last emperor because it's not that bad of a name either. LOL
