I have this annoying habit born, I'm sure, of an ailing, alcohol-degraded memory edged with paranoia. Ah, I have heard that all good writers are that vigilant about recording those fleeting glimpses of thoughts before they fade away. I think it is an excellent habit, even if only one of the ten ideas continue to enthrall you or be useful to you later on.

"All good writers"? Well, there's some hope for me yet, then. I think perhaps it's an obsessive nature about just that, not wanting to let the good idea slip through my fingers for the sake of having let it be forgotten in the ole grey matter. Of course, it also means I record all manner of hopeless crap that was best forgotten!
