It just pours out of me...

Oh, wait, you mean Graham Swift's, not mine? Well, I do tend to read reviews in newspapers and magazines, albeit with a critical eye myself, and track the books down in turn. In this instance, I happened across an absorbing interview with the author in a newspaper supplement, and knew by reputation that he is widely acknowledged as one of Britain's finest authors. And I wasn't disappointed.

Funny... i never put much faith in what the critics have to say, but i'm all ears when it comes to people i don't know. 8)

Heheh... OK, thankyou!

Yeah, I know what you mean when it comes to the critics, and in fact it was more the interview with the author that drew me in with Graham Swift. More and more I'm just coming to trust my own instincts -- like I say, with a critical eye on the critics.
