Jacen and Ben Fic Rec!
I recently found this story on FanFiction.Net and though I have only read the first three chapters it is so good that I simply had to share!
It contains spoilers for the Legacy of the Force (LOTF) series so don't click on the cut with the story details (sumamry and links) unless you have read up to Inferno in the LOTF series.
The story is titled 'Only Right' and is by Adahn.
The summary reads: 'Darth Caedus shows Ben Skywalker how to be a gardener. Post Inferno AU.'
The twisting of Ben Skywalker is perfect and very reminscent of Jacen/Darth Caedus in the novels.
Exercpt: “Ben, your mother sought to murder me. She had no intention of taking me alive, of proving guilty through due process of law, through the GA or the Jedi Order. That is why she attacked alone- because she knew the Jedi would never allow her to do what she planned to do to me. She attacked me- attacked to kill, and I fought in self-defense. And do you know why she chose to gamble her life for a chance at ending mine?” Ben’s presence in the force was a howl, feral and agonized. And so Caedus cut his access to the Force like a knife slashing string, felt a nova in Ben's head, then blankness, and then he was easy to hold once more, his glassy eyes radiating equal parts fury and despair. “It was not because she could not abide Jacen Solo as Chief of State, or because Lumiya was teaching me the way of the Sith- not really. It was because she was consumed by rage over my intentions to harm you. She let her love for you drive her deep into the dark, deeper than I have ever been.”
Tears flowed down Ben’s face, and his eyes looked dead, fake somehow, like those of a doll. Now was the moment that Darth Caedus had witnessed often in his meditation- the exact locus of circumstances within the Force that would allow him to win and win completely. The Confederacy could assassinate him, the war could be lost, Luke Skywalker could skewer him, but still he would win. Caedus paused for a moment, and when he spoke again, his voice was hoarse, pained. “And how did I defeat such a powerful dark side user, attacking me with every bit of power she had? She was about to strike the killing blow against me, and so I projected an image of your face over mine. She hesitated for an instant, and I jammed the dart into her thigh.” The last of the fire left Ben's bloodshot eyes, leaving only desolation.'

Oh, and I browsed Chp 12 (because I'm a curious kitty) and discovered Tenel Ka makes an appearance too. *g*.
Okay, enough pimping. Anyone else have any good Jacen/Darth Caedus recs?
