05 - Big Bang art
My art post for spn_j2_bigbang. I was so lucky to get clex_monkie89 as an author. Clex and her betas have been nothing but awesome, giving me feedback and critiques when I needed it but generally just making me feel like everything I made was the best thing ever. So thanks to you guys, and to the mods of spn_j2_bigbang. It must've taken a TON of effort to put this all together, and I think you did an amazing job!
The art could be considered spoilery - two pics that are scenes from the fic. Either way, I suggest you read the fic first, since it's AMAZING and so much fun. Like I told Clex, I'm usually not big on Stanford-era fic, but this one is NOT all buckets of angst and emo and I <3 IT SO MUCH.
The art is totally worksafe, btw.

Coverart inspired by one of cielo_gris's textures over here and Jason Mraz's 'Dynamo of Volition. <3 that song so much! I was stuck on the cover for so long, I must've had like 3 scrapped versions. Then I saw cielo_gris's texture and was all OMG I KNOW WHAT I HAVE TO DO!
It's a really, really lame and weird prank. That's Jess's first thought when she sees the postcard in her mail.
"Your phone can get pictures, right?"

So much of this was done last-minute it's not even funny. But hey, I'm DONE! \o/ The stuff I did for bigbang isn't really my usual style, but then my usual style didn't really fit with the fic. It gave me a chance to work with more textures and brighter colours than I'm used to, and I think overall it ties together pretty well. Anyways, enough of my rambling. If you haven't already, go read the fic!
