Some people wanted to know what breed the chicks are in my previous LJ post. They are crossbred between a Polish Silver Laced rooster and an Australian Black Orpington hen. I attached a picture of the parents on this post.

I worked with my middle school advisory, teaching them all about chickens and eggs.

Then we put some of my chicken's eggs in an incubator and my students all got to enjoy the miracle of life!

This photo of Grandma and Grandpa Desmond was taken at our backyard wedding here in New Hampshire. Grandpa Desmond shared a great amount of love, gentleness, acceptance, wisdom and strength. A wonderful man has just left this world - a saintly man. I am so very proud to be a Desmond.
