More proof that I live near/in “the hood”: I got a ‘contact high’ going into the Benning Road metro station this morning.

It had a $5,000.00 bill in it.

Truth may not be stranger than fiction, but it's certainly just as fucked up...
Ohayocan was great. I got to hang out with some fave LJ buds and my son for a weekend. And though I came away with a cold for my effort, it was well worth it.
But I'll speak on that later.

So, I'm sitting here waiting to register for Ohayocon with tool_man who has graciously allowed me to use his computer. My son is in his hotel room and mr_mitts is out wandering. So, I was having a pity party and emo moment with my son about Ohayacon this afternoon. Though I'm glad to be going, I'm really kinda bummed (read: terribly upset) that I'l be on a SUPER tight budget while I'm there since I'm not going to have the monetary resources at my disposal that I'd planned. I haven't been this nervous about starting a new job in over 8 years!
