So this is the game plan. You cant do defensive driving bc you were going too fast. So what you want to do is ask the judge for DEFERRED ADJUDICATION which basically puts you in a probational period of anywhere between 1 month to 1 year (usually its 9 months). Basically it says that you agree to not get ANY moving violations within that probation period (under consequence of original ticket and the one youre getting during probational period going on your record.) If you do deferred adjudication and completete the probation period the ticket will NOT go on your record and therefore insurance will not go up.
FYI I done DA 3 times, the latest was a speeding ticket for 29 mph over the limit (94 in a 65), Only 1 more MPH and I woulda gone to jail :(
