my belly is full of angry drunken bees, not docile butterflies.

ralphie tried to fix my bike with me today.
he went out with me to get the tools for it, then went thrifting with me cause i've been talking about it then tried working on the bike when i got home.
then talked to me about his problems with other chicks that were not me? i don't get it. ( Read more... )

they finally conceded to the fact that 'maybe jen is right'.

so they do plan on getting a new one.

but i don't get it, like my mom had betta fish successfully in smaller tanks.

I hope you mean *don't.

For serious though, your mom probably was just lucky, and I doubt they lived to be 5 years, as their normal lifespan can be.

I dunno, keeping fish in tanks too small always pissed me off. Like, it's not okay to keep a dog in a 2ft x 2ft fenced area, or a rabbit in a box, but people are totally cool with shoehorning as many fish into a little "tank" as possible. *rant rant*

no, no i totally get you.

my mom's did live a long time, a coupla years.

but their's again didn't even last longer than three days.
i don't understand why they keep dying so quick.

it was the same bacteria thing as the last time though!

what about if they insisted on the small tank, a filter for it? would that help with the bacteria?

Don't use city tap water in the tank. There's all kinds of additives in there that are not fish-friendly.

City tap water's okay, as long as you dechlorinate it. NYC has very good water.

for humans to drink, yes, it's fantastic. for fish to live in, not so much.
