My Caucasian grandma is on the right. This would've been in the early 1920's.

I spent most of my childhood closer to my mom's side of the family, so every time I see photographs of my ancestors in early America (I've found daguerrotypes, ambrobtypes, and cabinet cards) I'm blown away to see my roots in what I'd always considered to be other people's history.
