I HATE HER.
The woman at work.
She makes me want to just go to Japan and never return home. I hate her. Why is she so mean to me? I mean, she is mean in general. Before I came to the company, the receptionist and auditor prior to me both formed a tag team clique, basically the "I hate that manager" club and later on they both ended up leaving

I understand what you are going through right now. It is really hard to work in a place that you hate. I have a lot to say about this I'll send you a message later on today. But what I want to mention is this:

this website has journals written by an American English instructor who is working in Japan. I believe you should read if not all at least some of it. It will give a great insight about what you are going to experience as an English teacher in Japan. What made me think you should read this is that I remember him mentioning how the Japanese people make sure you won't have any chance to develop your career path. I'll search about the article and get back to you. I'm sorry but I'm caught up with something but I felt you should know this :)

Yea I'm going through rough times right now. Everytime she speaks, I roll my eyes in my cubicle xD. What do you mean that the Japanese make sure we wont have any chance to develop our career paths? That sounds so evil !!!

And urgh, office politics, it wrecks everything >:/ Getting higher up in the work ladder means positive results in the end, but its a matter of whether you think that work is worth the effort in the end. You may end up slaving away for a few years, climb up a few rungs and decide it wasn't worth it... (but then again, you might >__> it just depends on yourself really) I reckon what you need to find is work that you don't really consider work (as in something you're genuinely interested and you genuinely find fun, so even doing work outside of the allocated hours wouldn't be something you hate doing... if you get what i mean 0__o)

English teaching may be a good change for you, I mean you dont even have to do it as a career, maybe take a year off and do it. You want lots of money though n if that's the case your industry is probably the best way to go about it dont you think?
Keep applying for places. Hope something comes up soon <3
