Okay Guys, I am going to need some feed back on this one, I have been working on it for a while and I haven't as yet finished it. When I wrote it I had intented for it to be a script but it didn't quite make it... Like RTD would have commissioned it!!!! Hopeless dreams of an University student, sadly the world isn't quite as good when your in it for real.
Anyway please leave lots and lots of comments....
The fog was thick and clung to the bay. The water was still and quite, there was eerie feeling in the air. As the tiny police boat floated across the water; its light cut through the fog a little but they could only see about five feet in front of them.
“How could they even see it?” asked Daniel Jones.
“What do you mean?” questioned Lewis Brown
“The body, how could they even see it? All the way out here, in the middle of the bay, in the middle of this fog, how the hell could they see it”
Daniel pointed out peering over the edge of the boat back towards the docks. Lewis looked helplessly around there seemed to be nothing for miles; all he could see was thick grey fog.
“Oh god, your right there’s no way any one could have seen it though this fog…” he trailed off sharing into nothingness.
“Lou, hey Lewis… this PC Jones calling PC Brown come in Lewis” he clicked his fingers in front of Lewis’s face “wake up”
“Oh, what…sorry I just had a weird thought”
“Yeah well let’s keep our minds on the job, we still got to find this bloody body” moaned Daniel, looking over the edge of the boat into the murky waters of Cardiff bay.
“That’s if it even out here” said Lewis
“What are you talking about?” grumbled Daniel.
“Oh come on think about it. You pointed it out to me, all the way out here in the middle of this fog. No one could have seen a body floating in the bay through all this fog, so it’s either a hoax or…the killer tipped us off”
“Oh crap, I bet it’s a hoax kids mucking about. In fact I’ll bet you a fiver there’s no body out here” as soon as he had finished his sentence the boat bumped into something floating in the water.
The two police officers approached the port side of the boat and peered over the side, there floating in the water face down was the body of a man. The man had his arms out and looked like a star as he floated in the water. The man was wearing a large gray coat which weighted him down slightly. The two policemen looked at each other in horror.
“Oh shit” said Daniel sharing at the man floating in the water.
The police radio crackled “PC Brown, PC Lewis come in” said a crackly and far away voice. Lewis went over to the radio and tuned it in until the voice became clearer. “PC Brown?” it asked.
“Yeah, we’re here…um we found the body it’s a man” he glanced over the edge of the boat “couldn’t tell you how old he’d be… shall we bring him in or wait for you lot?”
“No, don’t touch him we’re on our way” said the voice. “Can you tell us where you are?”
“We’re in the bay” replied PC Brown.
“Really?” said the voice in a mocking tone “care to give us a bit more to go on?”
“We’re in the middle” Lewis told the voice.

Toshiko rolled over in bed and looked at the alarm clock. The large green numbers read 6:30. She pulled the covers over her head and closed her eyes, just another half hour she though to herself. Warm in her bed and still feeling a little bit sleepy she was a little shocked by a sudden strange thought that crept into her mind.
‘That’s not my alarm clock’ she had thought. ‘Don’t be stupid’ she told herself it’s been a rough week and she was really tried her mind was playing tricks on her.
But for her own piece of mind she reluctantly wiped the sleeping dust from her eyes and once again peered out from under her covers. The early morning light of a summer’s day was leaking through the gaps in the curtain, she could see the alarm clock quite clearly now. It wasn’t her alarm clock, and that wasn’t her bedside table. She was suddenly wide awake, she seat up in bed these definitely were not bed covers. She looked around the strange room, it was a smallish room and the double bed in which she was sat stood in the middle of the room.
On the walls old and worn posters had been tacked up, most of them were of half naked women but one or two of them were of cartoon characters. The floor wasn’t at all visible through plies upon piles of old take away packets, dirty clothing, empty beer cans, magazines and shoes. There was a desk in the corner of the room on which stood a computer, there laying on the keyboard was her bra and hanging off the chair that stood in front of the desk was her shirt.
Slowly she got out of the bed and very carefully she crossed the floor to her clothes. She picked up her bra and put it on struggling to remember what she had done the night before. As she put on her shirt she remembered working late the night before. She looked around the floor for more of her belongings; she must have had shoes and a bag…maybe a coat as well.
A sudden flash back from the night before popped into her head, she had gone out for a drink with Jack. She remembered sitting at her desk studying a silver ball with alien writing on it, which had been dug up at a building site. It was late about ten o’clock and Jack wondered over to her… “Still here?” he asked.
“Looks like it, these symbols are like nothing else on our records” she had told him.
“You look stressed and tired… maybe you need to relax a little, you know blow off some steam. Do you fancy getting a drink?”
“Really?” she looked up at him. He flashed her; his bright white smile. “Your just avoiding your paper work, aren’t you?”
“Of course, and what better way to do that then getting very very drunk?”
‘Yes’ she thought to herself that was right she had gone out with Jack. But where the hell was she now? She defiantly wasn’t with Jack any more. She spotted one of her shoes under the bed; she crept back towards the bed and picked it up. She looked around for the other one; it was wedging the door open. She slowly walked over to reclaim it, being very careful not to step on anything gross.
She held the door open while picking it up, quietly she slipped through the door, and clutching her shoes in one hand she used the other to silently close the door. She examined her new surroundings; she was in a hall way with a window at one end and a stair case at the other. She slipped her shoes on and approached the stair case hoping to discover her trousers or her coat.
With no more than a glance at the stairs she saw the latter in a crumpled heap; she walked down a couple of steps and picked it up. Toshiko smoothed out her coat as she dissented the last couple of steps, her bag sat at the bottom of the stairs with half of its contents spilling out on to the floor. She bent down and picked it up, and then she scooped up her phone, wallet and lipstick and dropped them into her open bag before zipping it up. Her head was suddenly very painful; a pig of a hangover had come on very quickly.
She rubbed the bridge of her nose with the thumb and fore finger of her right hand; she thought very hard about what she must have had with her the night before. Now she had her coat, bag, shoes, underwear and shirt but no socks and no trousers. She must have had trousers at some point the night before, she looked around. There were some coat hooks nailed to the wall facing her with some old and dirty looking coats hanging off them.
The front door which she was standing next too had a chipped wooden frame and two panels of dirty glass inserted into the frame. The carpet was a nasty brown colour and was in creditably worn it has holes in it. A question popped into her mind, where the hell was she? Forget about what had happened the night before where the hell was she standing now? In the hall way of a dirty old house, a dirty cold, old house. She put her hand to her head ‘oh god’ she thought to herself, a strong smell of damp and sewage filled her nostrils.
She felt sick a strong churning moved in her stomach, she put her hand to her month she was going to vomit. She pulled open the front door and ran down the front steps, dropping to her knees in the cold wet grass off the front garden she opened her mouth and threw up. Shaking and suddenly very aware that she was half naked she stood up and put her coat.
Then with no trousers and no socks she stumbled through the front gate, she looked up at the street that surrounded her. She didn’t recognize any of it, with out even thinking about going back into the house to find her trousers she started off down the road. Walking right in the middle off it, she pulled her coat in around her waist and did up the belt. Her coat was long enough that people wouldn’t notice she wasn’t wearing any bottoms; as long as she didn’t take it off.
She looked around at the cars that lined the road and the sleeping houses of the suburb, she was still completely clueless as to were she was and had no idea were she was going. Her mouth felt cold; she wiped the remains of the vomit from her face using the back of her hand and continued walking aimlessly down the road.

Owen could smell Ianto’s coffee as the cog door rolled back. He stepped through the door and headed over to his work station, “morning” he shouted over to Ianto who was making coffee in the boardroom. Ianto smiled and waved at him. Owen dropped his bag on the floor and kicked it under his desk; he sat down on his chair and rolled himself back and fore while trying to locate a report he had to hand into Jack.
At this point it was over a week late and Jack was starting to get annoyed, there’s only so many times that he can use a hangover as an excuse before Jack starts to get pissed.
The cog door rolled back again and Gwen wondered in grinning from ear to ear, “sorry” she shouted “sorry I’m late Rhys and I… well Rhys needed my help with something” she waved at Ianto who was still in the boardroom.
“What did he need help with?” Ianto asked as he exited the boardroom.
“Getting his trousers off” Owen mutter under his breathe.
“What was that?” Gwen demanded.
“You should apologize to Jack not us” Owen told her, to cover up what had really said.
“Right I will then” she started to walk in the direction of Jack’s office.
“He’s not there” Ianto told her. “I don’t know where he is…but Tosh hasn’t shown up yet so I’m guessing they’ve got out on a shout or something”
“Well then I’ll apologize when he gets back” she said returning to her desk and sitting down. What he had done with that report, Owen thought as he pulled out his desk draw.
“If you’re looking for that report, you were meant to hand in last week, Jack has it. And he’s not happy with it” Ianto told him as he sat a cup of coffee down on Owens desk.
“Well that should spice up my Monday morning” said Owen picking up the coffee and leaning back in his chair. “Doesn’t look like anything more interesting is going to happen” he said resting his feet on his desk.
“Unfortunately I think your right” said Ianto slipping his own coffee. “Unless Jack comes back with a hot one”
“That doesn’t seem likely it’s dead around here lately” said Gwen as she wondered over to join them.
As she sat down on the sofa the phone rang, Ianto reach over Owens legs to pick it up. First he pushed a pile of paper off the phone then he picked it up, “you need to tidy your desk” he told Owen as he put the phone to his ear “Torchwood.”
Owen shrugged and used his legs to push off his desk, his chair rolled back towards until it hit the sofa on which Gwen was sitting. “Good weekend” he asked her before taking another slip of coffee.
“Yeah, it was alright. Nothing exciting, it was a bit boring really” she said sadly as she drank her coffee, “you?”
“Na, it was crap. Spent all of Saturday drunk and all of Sunday hangover”
“Isn’t that what you do every weekend?”
“No” Ianto said harshly to the person on the other end of the phone. “That simply isn’t possible”
Owen and Gwen stopped talking and started listening to Ianto conversation. “Well I understand what you’re saying, but it simply is not possible.” Ianto was shaking his head. “Look I’ll send Owen and Gwen to check it out, but I’m telling you it’s not him” Ianto slammed down the phone.
“What’s up” Owen asked quietly.
“That was the police, they seem to think that they pulled Jack’s body out of the bay this morning. They want you to go down and ID the body”
