Title: Around the Table
Characters: Spain, Romano, Mexico, mentions of Latin America
Challenge: 14: Family
Bonus Words: loud, quiet, hug, poke
Rating: T just because of Romano.
Summary: Spain has a reunion with his little countries.

Spain could say they all ate quietly, but he was just dreaming for he knew they wouldn’t keep their comments to themselves.

The loud clanks of their silverware against their plates sort of woke the Spaniard up, though. He didn’t mind the noise at all, because it was clearly unavoidable. However, he didn’t want for them to be so cold with him. Why couldn’t they be lovable brothers and sisters like they used to , always greeting him with a hug and a firm handshake? No, they had all grown up and gotten concerned with other things.

Like the World Cup, and soccer in general. Argentina was the one with all that hubbub, with his soccer ball lying on the table while he ate. Venezuela was busy putting on her make-up, what with all the Miss Universe pageants she had won in the past. The Central Americas had all huddled into their own circle (which was hard to believe because it was a rectangular table), and the rest of the South Americans had only agreed to talk to themselves and leave Spain with his ‘other’ siblings.

He hadn’t done that much harm, had he? No, he was too sweet to hurt his siblings. They must’ve just not enjoyed their day is all? Yeah, that was it. However, as Mexico sat on his left and Romano on his right, he couldn’t help but poke them to start up a conversation.

“España, I’m eating; don’t interrupt me,” Mexico said firmly as she cut her meat.

He turned to Romano. “Don’t tell me you’re going to lash out at me, too.”

“What else would you expect, tomato-bastard? This wasn’t exactly your greatest idea.”

Spain didn’t want to admit he was right. What…had happened to them all? Where had his family gone?

A/N: So I wanted for this to turn out funny, but I failed, so it ended up being an open-ended question between the writer and the reader. Go figure. I always thought of Spain’s relationship with the Western World as a sad case of familial dysfunction. Especially with Mexico. I hope you all enjoyed, nonetheless!

Title: Play Date
Characters: America, England, Canada, France
Challenge: 14: Family
Bonus Words: loud, quiet, hug, poke
Rating: K+
Summary: In which the little ones want to play.
A/N: Because I love babies/kids, and these guys are all in my favorites list, I wanted to write a few fics with the FACE family as the theme. I’m not shipping anybody, though. Sorry, FrUk lovers. Plus, there is this pic I lol at. XD Inspired the fic.

America was ecstatic about seeing his brother. They had met because of Britain, but found out France was his ‘older brother’ and would not be staying with them. However, because America begged Britain (rather loudly) for a play date with his brother, he could not refuse when he made that pout. So he arranged a time and place for the little ones to meet. Obviously, it was somewhere near France’s home, which had Britain thinking that it was a ‘just-in-case’ kind of thing.

He promised he’d keep quiet while his little brother played, but if France set him off, there would be a lot more than just poking around. He’d watch his language and actions, though. He didn’t want to be a bad example, after all. Plus, if anyone was going to look bad, it would be France and he would make sure of that.

However, when it was time for lunch, the boys didn’t want to join them in the table. This was probably America’s doing, and he knew it because he did tell him to be the one to start things. He found the boys hugging their toys and as France and he approached them, they began to run away.

They were adorable, but it was tiresome to chase those two around. At least France caught Canada first and was able to make him eat without a problem. America was rather fast and decided to play around with Britain for a little while.

“Fine, then, if you don’t want to eat, I’ll punish you by taking away your toy soldiers,” Britain threatened lightheartedly.

The boy stopped dead in his tracks and ran towards him only to cling to his leg, making it difficult for him to walk.

“Can I still play with Canada?” he asked rather shyly.

“After you eat; you can’t play on an empty stomach.”

Title: Night Outing
Characters: America, England, Canada, France
Challenge: 14: Family
Bonus Words: loud, quiet, hug
Rating: K+ for a minor word.
Summary: So the boys got together and had a regular Friday Night.
A/N: There is this fan art that I adore because the boys look so ‘ah!’ worthy, which got me thinking that they must’ve been doing something, right?

“So you got the call, too?” America asked Britain as he spotted him outside the theater.

“Yes, but don’t think I came here with a bright smile,” Britain clarified.

“So, why’d you come, bro?”

“You and Canada need some supervision if you’re going to hang out with France.”

America raised an eyebrow in suspicion. “Whatever, dude. As long as you and him are quiet during the movie, I’m good.”

“Bonjour! We are ‘ere!” France said loudly as he and Canada approached the waiting nations.

“Took you long enough,” Britain began. “Do you know how long I’ve been waiting here?”

“This is why we set up a time, mon ami,” France reminded.

“And you decide to come an hour later? Good grief.”

“Dude, relax. At least we’re here already. Okay, since we’re in Canada’s place, he’ll choose the movie we’re watching,” America said.

“I was thinking that new spy movie that premiered recently. That one from Britain,” Canada said shyly as he hugged Mr. Kumajiro.

Britain and America smirked as France frowned in disapproval. “Bond. James Bond,” they said in unison.

“You know there are plenty of French-speaking films here in Quebec, right Canada?” France suggested.

“Yes, but I don’t think it’s fair for Britain and America to watch a French movie when they speak English,” Canada explained.

“I know French, Canada,” Britain said.

“I don’t,” America added. “So we’re watching Bond! Now, let’s get the giant popcorn cup and some choc-”

“We need the tickets first, genius,” Britain said.

America shoved some money in his face. “Okay, you and France buy them and Canada and I’ll buy the snacks. Problem solved. C’mon, bro! You know your place better than me! Tell me what this shit in French says!”

Britain sighed. Even in another country, America loved being the boss.
