Got my cell-phone bill today, and was stunned.  Almost 170 for the past month, when normally it barely tops fifty bucks.  And I have LOTS of minutes.  Then I clicked on "usage summary" and realized that the vast majority of the minutes consumed were on June 5-10--the days we were in the hospital, constantly calling relatives and texting each other ( Read more... )

I do like chocolate, but not just chocolate. I often favor banana milk shakes and plain cheesecake and... well, it could be a long list. But chocolate is always good.

I'm reading Three Cups of Tea right now and I'm loving it.
But something tells me you've probably already read it. :-)

Not sure if it is worth the conversation for you, but I would try calling Tmobile customer service and explaining the situation to see if you can get some of the overage fees excused.

Also, I just started reading Gatecrashers, which I dont recommend to you right now, but might after I finish it and think you would enjoy chick lit about a funeral crashing gold digger. The last book I read was crap. A Woman Betrayed. It was even worse than the title suggests.

I did call just to see if it was worth an attempt, considering that I've been loyal to TMo for seven years now and have never had so much as a late payment. The lady and her supervisor were both extremely sympathetic but used it as an opportunity to try to upsell me to a more expensive plan so "events like this don't happen again." Oh, well.

I've heard about Gatecrashers. . .maybe in a little while.

Just finished A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson, which made me want to re-read his history of English. And I always re-read the classics before school starts, so I'm prepared.

I really need to start on that book list from you. I'm about to start Waiter Rant by The Waiter, and Pretty In Plaid by Jen Lancaster. Jen is very chick lit, but a quick and funny read!

LOVED Waiter Rant, although I was quite aware that I could have just as easily written Restaurant Visitor Rant. Pretty in Plaid just hit the list; thanks!
