In a wonderful bit of world news, Bill Clinton is returning to the US right now with two freed journalists.  I can't even imagine what kind of negotiations went on behind closed doors, but Euna Lee and Laura Ling are on their way home to their families after four months of incarceration on what were no doubt trumped-up charges.  The picture of ( Read more... )

It wasn't the concept itself that grossed me out, but the ad that accompanied said product. The artificial vest, the little girl grinning, yaaaar.

And on that note. . .boobies. HaHA!

Oh, and not that it's relevant to this conversation, but do you know how much the trusty USPS charged me to give CDs to seven different people? Less than 17 bucks! Total bargain! All you have to do is ask for the "media rate." There are deals still to be had.

See ya!!!!

Having not seen the doll itself, it sounds like a good concept (when you think about it, baby dolls still typically come with bottles, while barbies have giant titties, the better to captivate smooth-groined Ken!) However, I can see how the execution and marketing of such a doll could go horribly wrong (and seriously, will little girls think they feed their babies from a vest? children can be very literal).

When it comes down to it, though, little girls probably go by what they see in real life - girls who witness breastfeeding moms with their younger siblings hold their dolls up to their torsos to "eat," regardless of what accessories come with their dolls. Still, I am going to give points for effort, regardless of the end results.

And feeding Betsy Wetsy soda will never stop being funny.

My sister told me that there is also a pooping doll, but I don't even want to think about that.

And I got in soooo much trouble for putting Barbie and Ken (and Skipper) into nefarious positions. Childhood, ah, childhood.
