Well, I just became aquainted with the reason that I will one day be getting married (and/or moving to a warmer climate). I just had to dig out my car from a pile of snow, but only so I don't have to dig it out from a mountain of snow tomorrow morning. *sigh* I've never had to seriously shovel snow before because my Dad or Mom would always do it. I ended up living basically by myself for most of last year. From March until November, my husband was working in a different state. I had to plan our wedding pretty much by myself, and I was going to work, coming home, and taking care of everything on my own. We got married in August. By mid-October, I was miserable. He came home almost every other weekend, but it wasn't the same as actually having him live with me. Paying bills on your own is liberating the first couple of times, but then it just becomes annoying.

As my fictional marriage will be based on my fictional husbands ability to dig my car out of the snow and do other "manly" chores (aka things I don't want to do myself) for me, it's clear that our fictional love will be DEAD should he not do these things for me. Thankfully, the real marriage that you have with your real husband is based on stronger stuff.

On a serious note, my back hurts from shoveling last night and this morning and I heard that there's going to be another blizzard tomorrow! *dies* You're right to say that this living alone stuff SUCKS BALLS when you've got to buck up and take care of yourself. I like being by myself for the peace and quite, but I'd rather pay a bill, I kind of have to anyway, than do this manual labor bullshit. I wish I at least had a roommate. I bet I could get her to help me. lol.

Just make sure that your fictional roommate doesn't take your fictional husband away. That would really suck.
