I was talking with the girl at the coffee shop and she was asking me what I thought about the storm, and I'm like, eh, we never get hurricanes. They just peter out before they get up here. They're never too serious. And she's like, yeah, but we're supposed to never get earthquakes, either. And I didn't have a response for that.
For *true* hurricane preparedness, you must buy batteries, beer, and toilet paper. At least, that's what the stores always run out of first. Because, you know, toilet paper is so perishable... :D
