For some inexplicable reason they are discussing butt chugging on The Daily Show. Now, I've certainly done my share of party activities (and some other peoples' share as well, so feel free to take a break if you need one - I've got you covered) but this...I had to look it up and I'm still not sure it's not some kind of joke. Seems to me that in the youthful days when you CHUG, you are using the cheap beer anyway.

I always did :) Of course my definition of the cheap beer has changed drastically in the past few years. So weird that I never became a true wine snob but turned into a beer snob in like six months.

Unfortunately, that happened at the university of Tennessee (well, I'm sure it happens a lot of places, but that's where the kid almost died.) It was boxes of wine. :/

Oh GODS!! I'm not at all surprised it can be fatal. And on a side note, I'm not sure which is worse, boxed wine or wine up your butt ;)

I think boxed wine by itself is bad enough, but yeah, putting it up your butt is worse. :p

I guess the idea is that you're supposed to get "drunk" faster (you don't drink it, so saying you're drunk is weird), or at least that your blood alcohol level rises faster, but the problem is it happens SO FAST that they couldn't tell. It's just awful and stupid all the way around, and embarrassing for TN schools. :/ I kept saying though, that UT wasn't even in the top ten party schools this year, but Vanderbilt was. So, either TN was trying to make up for that, or else Vandy does WAY worse stuff.

I keep wondering which is worse - the guy who butt chugs or the guy who, you know, does the butt chug for the guy who butt chugs? I'm going with the second but it's a close call.
