Happy birthday to Thursday's birthday girl - may she find that dreams do come true, sometimes in unexpected ways, but they do. And sometimes life has something even better in store for you than you ever managed to think about for yourself. Fingers crossed UPitt will realise what an awesome person she is and welcome her to their midst.

Much technology -> meager Christmas. That's just the way it is. Unless you're wading in money, of course. Though, even then one could choose to be restrained in gift-giving and spoil oneself instead. Spoiling oneself is completely under-valued. *nods*

We are considering getting laptops for the girls this year. Just basic ones, but I'm still on the fence. It just seems so luxurious to have one desktop, a netbook, 2 ipod touches, an iPhone and two laptops.
