I'd like a Smart car but unfortunately i wouldn't fit in one due to my gangly frame ... i'd be like a large spindly spider squashed into a match box :)

what wonderful sisters you have! How lovely. Are you going to name it?
My first car was called Marian and I loved it dearly, current one is nameless due to me getting too attached to the last one that went bang on the motorway.

I will probably most certainly name it at some point, at the moment it is just 'little car' *grin*

All the cars I've had before (exboyfriends cars) I have become very attached to and cried when they've died :(

so glad it's not just me that gets attached to bits of metal...when my Nissan Micra expired I was terribly upset.

such wonderful news! not having sister or brother myself I always tend to assume that they are mostly wicked as in the fairy stories, but you have indeed been blessed with a pair of good 'uns :) They say life begins at 40 and it seems that you have been provided with an excellent means of starting a fun new way of life. Looking forward to seeing more of you and RJ out and about in the new year.

I think this was the theory behind giving me the car. I kind of felt if I don't do it now then I probably never will. It will make our lives so much easier as it takes me two hours on public transport to get to RJ's and I can't stay over as I have to get back to mine to inject Beastie twice a day with insulin. I'm hoping I become brave enough to be able to nip over and back without crying! *grin*

Oh gosh I think it will be a long time before I relax enough to notice you!!! *beam* My sister was pointing out types of car (that were the same as the one she's just bought) as was driving and I was too terrified to take my eyes off the road to have a look!
