Yeah your first labour is usually the longest, but I thought that a hospital wont let you be in labour for more than 24 hours before they do something about it. I think because her contractions were irregular for so long they waited, even though it would have been obvious she was really in labour (and not a false one). I cant imagine how exhausted she must be, though.
Oh and on top of that, her placenta didnt come out, so she is currently in surgery having it manually removed. As in with tools/hands shoved up her bits to drag it out *shudders*
lol yeah, as if labour itself wasnt bad enough. I know one girl who delivered her son without the knowledge that she was totally immune to the effects of a local anasthetic. Her mother chose to share this information with her AFTER she'd had an episiotomy, an epidural, stitches, stitches removed, a blunt placenta removal (ie: doctors hands up to you pull the placenta out), then more stitches. She thought she was just a wuss when everything seemed to hurt so bad even after she had drugs... but no. They just never worked on her so she felt *everything* they did to her. Makes me want to cry thinking about how awful that must have been for her.
