Sylvia, my co-worker, told me about her niece earlier. She's 20 years old and showed up in tears on her doorstep last night with an 8 month old baby girl in her arms. Her boyfriend had seriously beat her up (as he has done several times before) and he was at that point in custody. His side of the family wanted to take the baby from her. So, she ( Read more... )

I got off work today at 1. I'll work 2.5 hours on Saturday to compensate for it. I went to the dentist. I've been bad... Haven't gone in two years. So I walked out of there an hour and a half later with some serious cleaning done. I have to go back in three weeks to check out my gums. I have had an incredible day going to Diamond Valley Lake. Mom and I grabbed an early breakfast at A's. We got to her district at 8:30 for coffee and orientation. We were given badges, boarded the bus and began our adventurous tour. We drove around Lake Mathews and then entered Diamond Valley Lake on its West side.
