My proposal for my thesis is due with all its annotated bibliography goodness in 13 days and I'm kinda freaking out because I don't know what to do. It's hard to make arguments for history. It happened. There

I'd go with a comparison of how the Locks were an economic necesity in the broad sense, -exploiting the copper reserves, iron ore, grain, etc. but were a blow to the local economy based around moving the ships or cargo around the rapids, and supplying those ships and crews, and maybe compare that to how the locks are our biggest tourist draw today. And then throw in a bunch of numbers and end it with Q.E.D, Case Closed, or possibly Tah-Dah!

In my mind the honors council is going to be like the ministry of magic or whatever it was called in harry potter. it's people up high in robes looking all intimidating.
