right now i should be sewing for yale, but i would have been too distracted to get much done because this is what i really wanted to do. i went to nyrf this past weekend, after a five-year hiatus - not by choice - and it was silly and lovely and fun, and i actually took photos for once in my life. so i'm posting my favorites behind the cut ( Read more... )

12-inch long turkey leg?! That's a foot (leg)! and one ginormous turkey!
The blood spray and mud show sound awesome though.

we will! MDRF opened this past weekend, but i need time to sew for all of us (and make a little more money) first! what do you say to early october for MD?

No photo of the 12 inch turkey leg? Aw....
I think my finger got in the way of the camera lens.... aw, nuts.....

i know, i wish now i had photographed it! but really, it would have required something for scale next to it, like angelina jolie does with the dollar bill and the footprint in _the bone collector_... digression. you should have seen it. no worries about the fingertip, it's still a great photo - all of them were, and thanks! without the shop photos i wouldn't have any of me in costume to post.

the falcon was a great showman, but i do wish i'd thought to photograph the hawk and the owl as well.
