"And why did they just stand there watching their house burn to the ground?! They're wizards! Pull out your wands and make them into a freakin fire hose!!!"
LOL! so true. i felt a little confused why they did but that in the movie. they could have made more room for more stuff from the book. but i was happy for all of ron's moments :D <3
Keeping in mind that I haven't read the books yet (the first one is on hold at the library!!!), I did think the duo vs trio thing was strange. I've always assumed it was a trio but there are times in the movies where Ron is very distant. This might get explained to me more after I read 'em.
I gotta say I agree with you on those points. I was really mad because of the Harry/Ginny relationship - it was a pure waste of screentime if they weren't going to put much effort in it. I feel like they have made 5 movies avoiding romance as much as they can and one movie that is almost all about romance, so it is only natural that it would feel so strange (well the actors and scriptwriters also had something to do with it). But I loved the cave scene and all the traveling through the memories (I don't remember the book very well, but weren't there more things? Facts and stories about Tom/Voldemort's live that they didn't tell? Or that was in DH?) yeah the ending sucked BIG TIME!I hate it when Ron is left out. I guess that's what he feels like sometimes? I think that maybe this is a setting up for movie 7 when Ron does you-know-what. It's not a nice act, but he is human and he is my favorite character, so they better not make a big deal out of it. Btw, did you notice how funny the movie was? Some scenes were just hilarious.
Yeah, I think they suffered a lot from past omissions. It felt really weird that Ginny was suddenly a part of the story.
They didn't include any of the memories with Voldemort's mother, Grandfather, etc... You know, the stuff where we find out about the locket?
That's a really good point - they could be trying to set up Ron's feeling of isolation and unimportance for the next movie. It might make me feel better about it if I knew it was done that way for a reason. I hope they explain why he leaves in the next one. He's not doing it just because he's an ass! He's a boy with feelings. *sniff*
That was the thing I liked best about the movie - the comedy. I still can't stop giggling everytime I think about Harry and Felix Felicis. And my sister cracks up when she thinks about Cormac licking his fingers for Hermione. :P
Xaxa Cormac licking his fingers and Hermione hiding from him was ridiculous :D I totally loved it. I knew it! That these memories were from HBP - but there were so many things they missed then... The only explanation I can think of is that they are going to leave them for the 1st DH film... I am putting all of my hopes in the DH movies - the change in environment and structure of the story (I mean 6 movies done by the same formula - they go to school, stuff happens, Harry fights with someone and at the end realizes something about his past/present/future and then everyone's back safe... it's gonna be different now and I'm very excited :)
