Chuck Klosterman rules. You should also read Killing Yourself to Live.

Good call on Lester Bangs too. His piece on Van Morrison's Astral Weeks album is incredibly sharp, and he does something I previously didn't think was possible, which is articulate and put into words how music can make a person feel. Very good writer.
