I found that whole Eric is hard up thing funny, but I wish the Horny Boys in Hollywood aspect didn't take up so much of the showtime. A get that they are a quartet of 20-somethings in Hollywood and that sex their middle name, but I feel like they spend too much time on this aspect and not enough on advancing the plot. My one gripe with the show is that it moves very slowly in terms of dealing with Eric and Vince's careers.
I like the way they just sneak in the punches at the end and then leave them out there. The whole part from when Ari breaks it down for them until they get in the elevator and the credits role was great. I like that they throw it out there and then leave it up in the air, it gives a nice awed feeling at the end of the episode.
The Ari/Eric vs Ari/Vince dynamic is interesting to watch. Maybe I just don't remember correctly, but I don't recall the two relationships being so extreme. I know that Ari doesn't pull any punches with Eric for the most part, but I don't remember him being so soft on Vince. He tried being as nice as possible until he was just at the end of his rope and was forced to lay it all out there. Maybe it's just seeing the two sets of them interact back to back that makes the extremity so clear now.
I also like that they like to sneak in every once and a while and remind you the Eric really has no idea what he is doing. I think he handles it pretty well though. You have to be a pretty confident and aggressive person to just jump in there like he did and be able to withstand all the shit he's getting. You can feel Ari's frustration in waves having to deal with someone like Eric, but at the same time when he has Eric's back to the wall he usually throws him a bone. On a slasher note: I love the way they fight, a lot of angry emotions. I can Eric having lots angry!sex with Ari.
I feel bad from Drama, which makes me feel bad for Donny Wahlberg and Kevin Dillon. Which makes me feel bad for all the good actors out there who are stuck in oblivion, in turn.
I was feeling Turtle on getting no love, but he's going from being friend to being an employee. That puts him in a whole new ballgame, especially as a personal assistant-type who has to do the most random shit, I would guess.
