Fell down stairs, while moving empty boxes (you know, the four foot ones you can't see past if you're carrying them) down to the garage.

Ah, therein lies your mistake. Instead of carrying them you should have flattened the boxes and then slid down the stairs on them.

You probably still would have broken your wrist but it would have made for a better story. ^_^
