I had a great time at
Stitches West on Saturday. The vender market was overwhelming! I saw so many beautiful yarns and luscious fiber. I am afraid I succumbed to more than I had intended.
Here is my haul from a morning strolling the vender area:

Last year we got kathrynt about 7 ounces of light grey merino-angora roving from Toots LeBlanc, which she spun up into lovely laceweight. Sadly, so sadly... angora makes me sneezy.
This month at the Madrona Fiber Arts vendor room I got about 1000 yards of socks that rock heavy weight in "fire on the mountain" to make a baby something-or-other, some lovely BFL from DiCentra designs, and some ultra-ultra soft merino. Feels like cashmere. If my mom can't wear whatever I spin from that, I will give up on getting her into wool. Kathryn got some roving from Chasing Rainbows in a gorgeous subtle seashell colorway. I managed to restrain myself, but barely. *sigh*

Toots LeBlanc has wonderful stuff. They have blends without angora. I got a merino-angora blend, which surprises me because I usually don't care for angora.
Chasing Rainbows may have some of the most beautiful colorways out there. She is very talented. I haven't spun any of her roving, but I think Morgaine is carrying it now.
Congratulations on the baby, when are you due? I have been so busy lately, it seems like I miss all the news.

I know Toots LeBlanc has the alpaca-Jacob blend, but it doesn't feel as nice as the merino-angora. I think those are the main two rovings they carry.
Baby boy is due mid-July. I may well have announced it before adding you to my friends list.

And OOH OOH! You should first play with either the blue or the fiery-colored one, both in the last picture. They're my favorites. :-P

Blue Moon - Got a lot of my money! Specifically I purchased four skeins of their KidMo and one of their ribbon as well as some divine bombyx and cashmere to spin.
Good haul!
