Poem

Aug 02, 2007 18:36

Dust.
Sweat.
Blood.
I stand.
I watch.
I fear.

Dead.
Bury.
Kill.
I see
and shed
a tear.

Stop.
Think.
Wake.
I pack
and check
my gear.

Run.
Dive.
Shoot.
I smell
the enemy
near.

Hi Rhiannon,

My name is Marc, you know me. Don't worry I'm really kind, so only good comments.

I really love the simplicity of this poem. It works wonderfully with the War poems we studied: you've turned those themes into a simple, contemporary context. I love simplicity.

Hey, you'd better catch up before Michael looks.

Bye,
Marc.
