Oh, I loved that!!! Even though Jim has finally admitted (to himself) as to some feelings for Spock, and even though he believes in Spock's feelings for him, he still has some insecurities to work through, and Frank as well. I am still as riveted as I was from Chapter 1, and I can't wait to see how this all resolves!

I also loved your description of a mind meld, and how it was more chaotic than Jim thought it would be. I was able to imagine it a whole lot better.

Thank you! I am very glad to hear that. Jim definitely has some problems he needs to resolve internally before he can form a real relationship with Spock. Right now, he is still trying to pull the "we're just platonic friends who aren't in love with each other" card. It isn't going to work for long, but for the moment, he still thinks it will. *sigh* Poor Jim.

Anyway, I'm thinking that the next chapter will be the one in which they really start to grow close; maybe they'll have actual conversations rather than Spock talking and Jim either freezing him out or yelling. It's so exciting, yes? XD

I'm glad you liked my description of the mind meld. It's one of those things that is very hard to describe because I, for one, have absolutely no idea what a real mind meld is like. I would imagine that it would be very confusing for a human, so that's how I wrote it. :)

Oohh! I want to know what happens next! I hope Spock will come to the rescue and save Jim from Frank. Great chapter! I liked the alternating view points.

He will indeed save Jim from Frank. It won't be in the next chapter, but it will probably be in the chapter after next. XD I'm glad you liked the changing points of view. I thought it definitely fit this chapter. :)

This was so good! I especially liked the change in point of view. Ugh, poor Jim, I hope he'll be okay.

He'll be okay for now. He's definitely not in the best shape, but he'll survive. :) Thank you for letting me know what you thought about the changes in POVs. I wasn't sure if you guys would like it or not since it could have come off as a bit jumpy. I really thought that it fit this chapter though, so I'm glad I decided to do it that way. XD

Yeah, I can understand why you wouldn't want to read a WIP. I'm glad you're giving mine a chance though. :)

Don't worry about the changes in point of view, it worked very well.

Glad that everything is now out in the open, and both are aware of the others feelings. Things can now move forward from a base of honesty and hopefully (on Jim's part especially) growing trust.

The mind meld bit was very well written, and it was a good idea of Spock's to show Jim rather than tell him, as Jim would not have understood or believed Spock unless he had seen Spock's thoughts and feelings for himself.

Thanks for another excellent chapter.

Thank you. XD

Spock is definitely going to have to work to get Jim to trust him. It is just so ingrained in Jim not to trust that even if he really wants to trust Spock (which he does) he still can't seem to open himself up enough to actually do it.

I'm very glad you think so. I decided to add that part at the last minute, because I knew that without it, Jim wouldn't forgive Spock. I mean, I could have written that he forgave Spock, but it wouldn't have been as in character.

By the way, I am considering writing a sequel to LFSS because I don't think that I can get Jim all the way through the healing process in the four or so chapters I have left. It is going to take place several years later at the Academy. Do you have anything you would like to see happen or any suggestions?
