I really liked the title of this fix in relation to the subject. I don't normally comment because I'm not good at expressing myself, but I had to try this time. The way you deal with the topic of Jim's abuse is so realistic, and from the comments you've made it sounds like it's because you've gone through similar things yourself. It's very courageous of you to take on this topic, and I hope that as you continue with this fic, you will find it cathartic, and heal along with Jim. Wishing you a "t'hy'la" of your own, even if they can't do the "mental voodoo" that Spock does for Jim. I very much look forward to reading more of this story in the future, and thoroughly enjoyed Looking for Shooting Stars as well. Thank you for sharing.
