very sad about the Pope. i wish i could have met him. it breaks my heart to see  him gone.
excited to see a new Pope elected.
I can't wait to see the white smoke.

It's funny that you should say that. I don't want him to die, but I also am very interested to see how conclave works, and to see the smoke. This Pope was elected before I was born, so I've only read about election in books and stuff. It's a sad, sad time and also very interesting.

A person on my friend list who actually saw the Pope personally wrote this about his passing. I think it's just brilliant, and she's still just a teen! I wish I were as eloquent and poignant!

wow- that was good. yeah- i read some journals today too that were bashing the Pope on all the archaic ideologies of the catholic church- just how can you freakin ignore what a kind and amazing man he was? ( plus i'm Polish, so it hits home for me as well.)
