You'd be surprised the things you can remember as if it were yesterday even after hundreds of years. Living an immortal life means having to bury many things. Otherwise a person could go quite mad.

You may be correct with that claim, Monsieur Lacroix. The memories could be buried within the confines of our minds and then, when less expected, they resurface without our consent. That's... that's terrible to know. I am ever grateful the incident of my past did not turn me in one of your kind. With no intention to offend, it sounds like a harsh existence.
