It's quite hard to type with a plaster on your typing finger.

How are y'all doing with your 101 things lists? Some of you must be nearly finished! I've got less than a year to go with mine, and I know that I'm not going to manage all 101 things (some of which I've lost interest in anyway. Perhaps I shall never have a giant papier mache head). But I should at least try!

Progress report. Cut for those who are squeamish about blood, or the Midlands. )

48/100 is good! I didn't think I'd done any of mine but actually, I can now go in and cross off 3, 9, half of 13, 15, 39 and 48.

Oh, your list is a good one! Let's meet Cliff Richard in September. And Hank and Bruce. Perhaps I can pretend to be a very important record company executive, though I don't think anyone will fall for it.

It's worth a try!

I'm still sad I can't get my list to 100, and I'm not sure I still want to do some of the things on it.

Nor do I, but that's OK, I think I'm allowed to change my mind about things over the course of three years...

Perhaps you shouldn't worry about getting your list up to 101 things, or you might start setting yourself challenges you really don't want to do. I am NOT looking forward to attempting to give up caffeine for a week, and I no longer have any wish to make a t-shirt with cows on it...

Innit! While I was queuing up, I was trying to think which of my sensible friends I knew to be blood donors, and I thought you were probably one of them. I'd like to think I'm trailblazing for people who aren't particularly sensible to do it too!

I really want to give blood but have been ineligible for ages (for various reasons). I'm eligible now, so I really ought to go.

I don't want to see the blood, though! Eeep!

Oh yes, there's so many reasons to be ineligible - I kept meaning to do it a few years ago but whenever I remembered, it was too soon after I'd had my ears pierced or something.

You've seen your blood before! It's a bit weird though. I stared in the opposite direction for a while, then decided it couldn't be worse than anything I'd seen on House and had a good old look!

I have seen it, it's just that I can't stand seeing blood in tubes! It seems a bit weird, but blood in tubes totally freaks me out. I can't look at full blood syringes or vials or anything :-S

I avoid looking at any blood. I fainted once at a session and I'm sure it was at least partly because the bags were in plain view rather than discreetly under the bed as usual.
