But why the heckins are PJ & Duncan at number one in the charts? Did something ironic happen? I never stopped listening to PJ & Duncan, so am slightly offended that I wasn't consulted about this ( Read more... )

Bless them, so they did! I approve of all the leaping about.

Indeed but they MISSED OUT the crucial 'partners in crime' verse! That's the best bit!

No way! When I Fall In Love (FOREVER! TOGEVVER falliflove gonna be forever) is definitely the best. But I rate Rhumbling higher than rocking radios. I don't think I know Better Watch Out! Alas!

I think they might have stopped having hits by the time of 'Better Watch Out' (it was shortly before they started doing earnest acoustic songs), but it was on a rather good tape I got free with Smash Hits.

I will grudgingly allow that! I almost included Tonight I'm Free, which sounds better than I remember, but it is excluded because of the harrowing Byker Grove storyline it sprang from...

Bottom 2 PJ & Duncan songs:
1. Shouuuuuuuut, gonna let it ouuuuuuuut (all 2 chords of it)
2. Girlfriend, which was the only one off of the Psyche album that they co-wrote and it REALLY shows. The lyrics are about Doing It.

I have taken a few minutes to investigate Girlfriend and coo, what a stinker! Worst bit: "And when you sleep I WATCH YOU BREATHING" which they manage to make sound menacing.

They should re-release their album! Here's hoping next for a comeback by their Byker Grove friends Crush (Jayni 'Leah' Hoy and Donna 'Charlie' Air) :)

Aha, my excellent Smash Hits tape also featured 'Jellyhead' by Crush, though I'd forgotten the Byker Grove link!
