Well, well, well.

Good job I was at work today, otherwise I would have missed it for no good reason... ;-)

I hope you went via Brentford, as is the custom...

We viewed Brentford from across Gunnersbury Park and I thought of you! But a fellow walker who works at Kew said that we were getting too close to work, so we ventured no closer...

Very belatedly - what's the tube walk about? It's clearly a regular thing and I haven't come across it before.

Ah, that's because I usually post about it to the tubewalkers but accidentally posted to my own journal this time! It's an ongoing project to visit every station on the tube and the DLR and walk to the next station on the line (alphabetically, if there's a choice of two). If we've already walked to a station, we don't have to start a walk from there; but there's still a list of 180 walks to do! We started in 2004 and are still going...

There's a nice description of the whys and wherefores of tube walking here written by our friend Woody, who came up with the whole idea in the first place but doesn't come on the walks any more.

The walks are every month or two, and not particularly arduous - they last 1-2 hours and then we usually go to the pub or a cafe, depending on the area. You're welcome to join us if it ever appeals, or just add yourself to the community and see how we're getting on! It's on Dreamwidth too with exactly the same content.
