SERIOUS QUESTION for the Ladies

Has anybody heard about this Gardasil shot? That is like a vaccine against HPV and may reduce our chances of getting genital warts and/or cervical cancer? I want to know what you girls think.

I'm thinking about getting vaccinated. I requested an information packet in the mail.

how do you get this virus? because if its from sex i think you are probably safe.

HPV is sexually transmitted my dear. Currently I don't think you are at risk, I mean I could be wrong, but I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.
No, I haven't heard anything about this vaccine and I just took an exam on sexually transmitted diseases and their vaccines and it was not brought up.
I wont hurt to look into it, but like I said, you're not exactly at risk.

p.s. I just looked it up and it doesn't seem like it's worth getting unless you are really really at risk. It doesn't work on all strains and it has a lot of side effects.
