"For 300 years, we had laws that would prosecute that lifestyle," Baity said. "We've gone down the wrong path."
This is about as true as the argument against democracy. For thousands of years humans have lived under kings, and it was unheard of to live using the law of the people. So obviously because the US and many many other countries are now living under democracies with no such absolute monarchy, we have all gone down the wrong path.
And when issuing a statement against same-sex marriage, it is quite incorrect to argue along the lines of "my beliefs, thus what the law should do". The law has nothing to do with your beliefs, and further, neither do people like me. Everyone is correct as far as "I believe" but not so when they get to "You should believe" or "Because of my beliefs, the law should believe".
Fuck you man. I need to stop getting angry at things.
