Cluster Fun!

As I'm sure many of you will have seen during the downtime this week, we all have clusters...I didn't know that until then, some of you may have, some may not. Anyway, with a little bit of detective work and the help of tromana I think I gathered a complete list of the Livejournal Clusters. You may not care, but I was interested

I'm on 7, and my comms are scattered between 7, 4, 1, 8 and 9. Hadn't heard about clusters til this week.

It's useful having comms to know of other clusters! I think a lot of people have learnt about them. :)

Yeah, definitely. And I have so many comms. I'm a little surprised by how many are on 7 and 9 (which of course were the two having the most issues).

Haha, Sod's law! I think most active users were affected in some capacity even if it was just having comms of their own or being on comms on those clusters. Glad it's fixed for now!

Can you please tell me what exactly these clusters are/mean?

I assume they're just random nicknames for the different servers that each account is on. If you set up an account now you're more likely to be on a higher number cluster.

The random nicknames are all food related, but I have no idea why. For fun maybe?!

Tss, what a weird and random names for the clusters, you can see it was geeks who came up with that ;-)
